Taking photos is prohibited in many Golf Courses in the United States, even if it is the photo of Tiger Woods. Serena Williams must be well aware of it now after she was stopped from taking one during the 2013 Honda Classic Tournament.

As Tiger Woods approached the No. 17 tee box, Williams pulled out her phone to take a photo of the golfer. The Tennis star looked very excited to see her fellow Nike athlete in action.

Williams can be seen in the video watching Woods up close at the Honda Classic. She is being mentioned by commentators, who recognize the athlete as one of the top tennis players in the world.

She tries to take a picture with her phone, but a tournament official nearby quickly waves his arm to gain her attention and informs her that doing so is prohibited. Williams was utterly stunned when the official stepped in.

The commentators notice this moment and joke about it by saying, “Serena, you may be No. 1 in the world of Tennis, but no special privileges out here.” This awkwardness caught the quick attention of the public, which even after 9 years remains a strong memory for many people.

This moment proved how strictly the Golf Courses adhere to their rules and regulations. Regardless of who the other person may be, they still respect the rulebook.

William tweeted, “Ok at this Golf tournament. Just saw @tigerwoods I understand NO golf Apparently u can’t take pics. This security for mad and yelled at me.” She further defended herself by saying, “Apparently u can’t take pictures of golfers. In my defense peeps [people] always take pics of tennis players.”

Despite all her troubles, Serena Williams still managed to take a picture of Tiger Woods. She also posted on her Instagram page.
