Tiger Woods is yet to make his first appearance of the 2022 season on the golf course. In the meanwhile, the 15-time major championship winner resorted to some mentorship activities. Recently the 46-year-old professional was seen giving an inspirational speech to his alma mater football team.

Recently, the 82-time PGA Tour winner took some time out and gave an inspiring speech to the football team of Stanford University. Back in the day, Tiger played college golf for Stanford, making his visit all the more special.

In the video, Tiger said, “I wore this shirt for a reason. We are the home of champions. What is the champion? Champion is a person who doesn’t always win, but who fights to the very end gives his life his soul, his heart everything he has at all times.”

He added, “So I decided to help you guys understand what it’s like to put your whole life and everything you have into something that means so much to yourself.”

In the video, Tiger is seen taking out one of his green jackets and putting it on the football team’s coach. It must be truly inspiring for the young college players to hear from golf’s best.

Woods’ most recent PGA Tour event

Tiger made arguably one of the greatest comebacks to golf last year at the PNC Championship. He played the event along with his son, Charlie Axel Woods. The duo ended the event with an overall score of 25-under-par, as a result, coming just two shots behind the leaders. Team Woods finished in the second position. Tiger and Charlie carded a final round of 57, 15-under-par on their router to a strong finish.
