Charlie Woods seems to be following in the footsteps of his father, Tiger Woods. At the PNC Championship in Florida in 2021, the 12-year-old Woods played with his father and the FedEx Cup winner Justin Thomas. Golf is well-known to Charlie, and he stole the show. The son of the former world number one resembles not only his signature swing and quirks but also exudes the same self-assurance and confidence that allowed Tiger Woods to win 15 major championships.

Woods was making a remarkable comeback from his near-fatal car accident earlier that year, and many thought he might never return to the golf course. But the pro golfer made a comeback, and although he returned to the game, he lost to Charlie in the popularity stakes. Charlie Woods seems ready to win all the money, and he proved it to his father and their practice partner, Justin Thomas. 

Charlie Woods, the swagger shadow of Tiger Woods

The young Woods was full of swagger during his practice putting in front of Justin Thomas and his father. After the shot, he rubbed his fingers together as a sign that they should pay him. Charlie Woods stole away all the attention and the spotlight from his father, Tiger Woods, who laughed at his move.

The video went viral soon after the PGA’s Twitter handle posted it and received more than a million views. But this was not the end of his swagger. He looks to be the next Tiger Woods in making.

Woods maintained his swagger during the actual tournament as well. The young Woods surpassed his father’s putter rise on the fourth hole. He sank another unexpected putt and gave Team Woods their third birdie. “Although he’s never beaten me in golf or a putting contest, he still talks trash just like his dad,” Thomas said.

Justin Thomas gave an unexpected description of Charlie Woods

Justin Thomas called Charlie a chip off an old block. Woods and Thomas have a brotherhood maintained. Once, they talked about Charlie a lot. Then Woods discussed his son wanted to play with him and Thomas. They all have a great bond and share it on the family level.
