It has been more than 30 years since the American golfer John Daly began his professional career. Unlike his other colleagues, the 56-year-old doesn’t follow the ‘conventional’ lifestyle of a pro athlete. He often eats at fast food outlets and drinks diet coke instead of water. In fact, even his workout is different from any others too.
“I am going to introduce to my… the world-famous Jacko Deal,” he said in a Golf Channel video posted in 2019 on Twitter. “He’s my trainer.”

Until he introduced his trainer, the video seemed to introduce the normal daily workout routine of the golfer. However, after one sees the trainer holding a big jar of beer in one hand and a burger in the other, the viewers would get the idea that this video will be hilarious.
Personal trainer struggles to make the golfer workout in 1 minute 55 seconds video
The entertainment-purpose video showed that starting from the treadmill, his trainer had to woo Daly with a burger to get him moving. At one point in the video, even his trainer couldn’t help but laugh when the 2-time major champion declared to take a 45-minute break after completing a barely 2-minute workout.

Interestingly, he also replaced dumbbells, an unusually small one, with two burgers to raise the entertainment level. The golfer and his trainers take the viewers to a swimming pool for their next session. If anybody thought it was to make the Tour champion golfer swim, oh boy, you’re wrong!

As a matter of fact, the only time the viewers get to see Daly taking a dip in the water is when he accidentally falls into it after their “battle rope” session.
Fans’ reaction to John Daly and his gym routine
The Tour Champions partnered with Golf Channel to create this video for entertainment purposes. However, most fans agreed it might be the real routine John Daly follows every day. Mostly, all of them agreed that it was a funny video.

‘In-depth with Graham Bensinger’ was an interview that revealed all the unhealthy diets and lifestyles the golfer leads. “I don’t drink water. I hate water.” He has admitted he hates water and drinks diet coke instead in the Bensinger interview.
