After winning the CJ Cup in South Carolina again this year, McIlroy is all set to move to be the world No. 1. The last time he was at the first position worldwide was in 2020. Most of his fans would give the credit for his win to the player’s hard work. However, McIlroy dedicated his victory to his number one fan, who came to attend the tournament and brought along good luck for him.

Kyler Aubrey, a golf fanatic with cerebral palsy, was there to attend the event to support his favorite golfer. And as usual, McIlroy won the game with Aubrey present in the audience. The two have developed a friendship since the last few PGA Tour events ever since McIlroy started winning games in his presence. And in a recent video after his CJ Cup victory, McIlroy was seen hugging Aubrey after the game.

The golfer approached his biggest fan, hugged him, and said “2-for-2. How about that?”. The PGA Tour shared the emotional video on Twitter, mentioning how it was another win for McIlroy with Kyler as a supporter. The golf star also met his fan again after signing a few other autographs. The two got pictures clicked together before McIlroy said“Buddy, love you”.

He even asked Aubrey if he could come to Dubai to give him some more luck.

The golfer received millions of messages from fans congratulating him on his Ryder Cup victory. However, he gave credit for the win yet again to his all-time supporter, Kyler Aubrey. It turned out that Aubrey was present at the Ryder Cup, too. After winning the tournament, McIlroy said“Kyler, good seeing you this week. You need to come here more often. I usually win when you’re here.” The picture of the two received much love on the internet from fans.
