The NBA legend then hilariously disses himself by saying, “Water! Gets me every time.” This is a reference to Charles Barkley’s struggles in the golf tournaments where most of his shots end up in the ponds. However, in recent years, there has been a massive improvement in Chuck’s golf style.

Earlier this year, Barkley also won the Black Masters, which is an unofficial annual golf event played by the TNT ‘Inside The NBA’ crew. With a little more improvement, we might see the NBA legend win some official celebrity tournaments soon.

Barkley says “No” to LIV Golf

LIV Golf has made all efforts to sign all the top golf from the PGA Tour, which they have typically succeeded in. However, their recent attempt to sign Charles Barkley as a commentator failed as the 11-time NBA All-star player rejected the offer.

After rejecting LIV Golf, Barkley said, “I want to thank Greg Norman and LIV for their interest in me. I wish those guys great success and nothing but the best. But, in my best interest, and being fair to Turner — because Turner and basketball have given me every single thing in my life. It is best for me to move on and I’m staying with Turner for the rest of my TV career.”

Barkley could have a great entity for the lucrative Tour as he is a fan favorite. However, his loyalty stays with TNT with whom he has been an analyst since 2000. With speculations arising of Charles Barkley soon retiring from sports broadcasting, what’s next for the NBA legend? Comment below!
