LPGA Pro Jenny Shin has been quite vocal about her mental health struggles. Some time ago, she found herself in a dark place due to her bad spell on the greens, which made her question her own golfing capabilities. But thankfully she is on the road to recovery now.

She had a better year on the LPGA and gave some good finishes like T16 at the Women’s Scottish Open and AIG Women’s Open, T10 at the BMW Ladies Championship, T15 at the Toto Japan Classic, T3 at the Walmart Arkansas Championship, And on a positive note perhaps there is a chance of new beginnings in her life.

Jenny Shin shares wisdom on how to date an LPGA pro

Earlier this year, after she secured a spot for the US Women’s Open, Shin became candid about her journey of qualifying for the tournament. After her slump, it became rather difficult for her to keep her faith in her game. Building up the confidence to face her performance was a tough task for her, as she struggled with takeaway and tee shots.

Shin continues to work on improving her game as well as her mental health. And it looks like the golfer might be ready to welcome romance in her life. She recently held an Ask Me a question session on her Instagram for her fans. Among the heap of questions she received, one particularly stood out.

A fan asked her on behalf of single guys about how to date an LPGA player. And Shin replied with a sweet answer to this query. She wrote back, “The same way you would date any other woman. Approach them, speak to them out lol. We are the same human beings as the ones you see on dating apps.”

Though Shin has been quite private about her dating life, it is unclear whether she is dating somebody or not. However, with this message, it looks like she might be open to welcoming a special someone in her life after all.

How is Jenny Shin doing with mental health?

However, a few days ago she gave the fans a glimpse of her working on improving her mental. Shin shared a poem which she wrote herself – “Today I will be better. Today I will find the peace I couldn’t find yesterday. Today I will be kinder to myself. Today I will tell myself that things will be okay. Today I will find a way to relax.” Along with her poem, she even shared some self-motivating words of Nayyirah Waheed.
