PGA Tour pro, Wyndham Clark is having the best year of his golfing career in 2023. This year not only did he make his first tour win but doubled that joy by winning his first major championship. All of this within a matter of few months. Moreover, his impressive victories and consistent performance this year have earned him a place in the Ryder Cup.

And for a first-time Ryder Cup player, Clark’s confidence is beyond the charts. He is extremely proud of the fantastic lineup of the team which he thinks will easily tackle the opponent team which is starred by players like Rory McIlroy and others.

Wyndham Clark says the world’s best ball strikers are on his team.

In 2023 Wyndham Clark finally received his due after 4 years. His much-awaited first PGA Tour win came at the Wells Fargo Championship in May and Clark’s happiness knew no bounds. Then after a month, his first major win at the US Open came and Clark proved to everyone that he was here for the long haul.

Then being among the early players to win a spot in the Ryder Cup was a cherry on top of his celebrations. These achievements have boosted Clark’s morale and confidence and he is ready to secure his first Ryder Cup win. In his latest interview with Drew & Johnson on Gravy & The Sleeze, he spoke about Team US’s chances of winning.

He said, “I personally think that our team is incredible. Their stats guys think that we are not as good for them. I think that we are so much better inside 130 yards and I don’t think that they are better from outside that. I just think that we are much better wedge players.”

He further praised his Ryder Cup teammates saying “When you look at guts like Scottie, Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Harman, or Brooks, every guy I am listing are great ball striker.”

Clark is filled with confidence as he looks down on his team and he is ready to take down McIlroy’s team.

Clark had his taste of the Marco Simone Golf course last week as the Team visited Rome. Speaking about that experience he said that it was tough playing on their golf course but he liked how everyone looked this past week on the course. He also promised that the audience would see a crazy amount of putts. Once a player gets on the right level, it rolls very flat and smooth at Marco. He added “I really like our chances. We always had the advantage. Our line is very good and we have multiple major winners on our team and guys that have had an incredible year.”

Clark feels good about his team and his own chances of winning. No matter the result this will be the most memorable event for Clark who will fulfill his patriotic dreams for the first time.
