But his skills on the course aren’t the only thing that has impressed the golf world! His resolve, humility, and modesty are something every avid golfer adores about the now-world no. 1 golfer. And his recent humble words of inspiration only added to the immense love the golf world has for him!

Looking to double down on wins this month after his incredible Masters run three weeks ago, the Spaniard now heads to Vidanta Vallarta in Mexico. Rahm isn’t just competing at the Mexico Championship this week. Being the reigning champion, he’s also playing to defend his crown in front of a crowd that absolutely loves him.

Being a Hispanic golfer, the world no. 1 has also been a fan favorite in the golf community in Mexico. “The Mexican people have always accepted me,” he said in the press conference aged of the Championship this week. “As a Hispanic playing golf and the champion of the Masters, they’ve taken me in very, very well.”

Flooding the comments of the PGA Tour’s post of the press conference on Instagram, they sang praises of him. “What a role model,” said one fan, showing his admiration for the golf pro. “John is the real deal. Just a great person and good for the game” commented another. “How great are you Jon,” wrote another in Spanish.

They also chanted that he was one of the classiest pros in the sport and proclaimed their love for him. “Straight class from the #1,” wrote one fan. “Guys a class act. El español!!!” said another, while yet another said, “Class Act!!!!”
