PGA Tour veteran expresses disappointment over the Ryder Cup omission and team division

In a recent special edition episode of The Players Show on SiriusXM, Lucas Glover sat down for a conversation with Taylor Zarzour, discussing the drama on the U.S. side. The radio’s official Twitter account posted about the interview, and the caption read: “The Ryder Cup didn’t fall the Americans’ way, but the result isn’t the only thing about the event that saddened @Lucas_Glover_.”

In the video, Glover talks about how he felt when he wasn’t chosen for the 2023 Ryder Cup. The golfer mentions that it is quite tragic that Team USA lost, but nonetheless, he would have liked to be there with them on tour. Glover added that he could have brought some different things to the table.

Referring to the news about how divided Team America’s Ryder Cup room looked and all the conversations about the money involvement, the US Open champion added, “That is not at all what the Ryder Cup stands for.” He further elucidated that the locker room incident was not something that he had read online. It has been an occurrence that he has been told about by people who saw it happen.
