J.Lindeberg has been ‘the fashion brand’ for several golfers like Nelly Korda and Viktor Hovland. But recently, it has been collected from sources that Nelly has signed with Nike, and her reason to no longer continue with J. Lindeberg is a mystery yet. While Korda is now bygone for the brand, Hovland still continues his business with the company.

But due to Hovland’s bright and oddly looking apparel on the golf course, he has often been subject to criticism from people. Though this Norwegian golfer doesn’t care about his clothing much, the severity of discouraging comments can change his mind possibly.

Is this Hovland’s taste of clothing or is it the brand?

What someone wears is mostly dependent on their taste. PGA Tour pro Hovland, was seen in the 2023 PGA championship wearing an orange-yellow ombre shirt called the ‘Sunset fade.’ This bright summer wear shirt was sent to him by J. Lindeberg, but the question here is, are these vibrant colors even his style statement?

Later, it was known that he is mostly into greys and blacks for outfit choices and this off-court fashion is because they pay him to showcase their collections on the field, and he doesn’t really care about his outfit so long as he gets paid for wearing them. He has no problem in being the face of the brand.

But recently, due to harsh criticism from fans about his outfits and a Twitter post that said, Again. J.Lindeberg needs to be stopped. We need to help this kid ”, Victor might have second thoughts about the brand in the future.

He perhaps can follow in the footsteps of Korda and quit the brand for its bold fashion choice. But since Hovland has not spoken of this as of yet, it would be fallacious to talk on his behalf.

Hovland’s outfits that have received criticism in the past

During the 2023 Masters Championship, Hovland wore another J.Lindeberg shirt while playing with Tiger Woods and Xander Schauffele. It was worth $115 and it was a red floral shirt with Azalea flowers. It was meant to honor the 13th hole ‘Azalea ’ in the Augusta National.

However, fans couldn’t hold themselves back from roasting him. They ridiculed him by calling him “an exploded watermelon” over Twitter. But the player defended himself by saying in an interview, “What they tell me to wear”, referring to that he doesn’t get to choose what to wear.

Although Hovland has received quite the censure for his clothing, it should not be forgotten what he is known for, and that is golf. Ultimately, it is to see if he continues with this brand or if he changes his decision with the passage of time.
