During her question-and-answer session on her Instagram story, one of her fans asked about her relationship with Phil Mickelson.

Paige Spiranac replied with excitement and said she got the chance to meet Mickelson once on the PGA Tour. And she loved the experience. He even answered her queries. But it didn’t last that long.

Her good experience turned into bad when she wanted to tag Mickelson online. After Mickelson became golf’s oldest major winner of all time at the US PGA Championship last summer, she wanted to tag him on Instagram and Twitter, but to her surprise, she was blocked.

Spiranac herself got confused and said, “I don’t know what happened. We’re like mortal enemies now?!”

A year after the PGA Tour, Spiranac met Mickelson at the Phoenix Open, and the same thing happened. They both were nice to each other. But after the blocking incident, she was shocked. She said that if anyone should block her, it should be Bryson DeChambeau because she publicly criticized him. But she couldn’t figure out why Mickelson blocked her.

She never spoke ill about Mickelson.

The next day, Spiranac received a DM by Mickelson, clearing the doubt. He apologized to her and said that this must have resulted from some glitch in the system. Spiranac accepted it and congratulated him on his big win. And guess what happened next? Mickelson blocked her again the very next day. And this time, it was Instagram, too.
