Winning at the WM Phoenix Open is a surreal experience, and Scottie Scheffler has done it twice. With his 2023 title at the TPC Scottsdale, the 26-year-old became only the second to win back-to-back at the fan-favorite event after Hideki Matsuyama. Although it was he who became the people’s champion again, another person was over the moon after the victory. It was none other than his wife, Meredith Scudder. 

Scheffler’s high school sweetheart-turned-wife has been the center of attraction after the couple’s emotional hug following his victory. Notably, fans even named them the next power couple of golf in the sports world last year after watching their interactions through videos. 

Since her popularity rose, the golf world became more inquisitive about the 26-year-old’s wife. And questions about her job increased after knowing Scheffler earned a massive $3.6 million for successfully defending his title at the TPC Scottsdale.

As a wife of a professional golfer with millions in his bag, many would believe that Meredith Scudder doesn’t go to work. Her presence at all of Scheffler’s tournament victories strengthens this speculation. However, her LinkedIn profile says otherwise. 

According to her profile on social media for professionals, Mrs. Scheffler is the co-founder, vice president, and event planning team leader of With Purpose: College Station. Her profile further states that she has been involved with the organization for the past eight years. 

“With Purpose: College Station is a service-oriented student organization at Texas A&M University,” the LinkedIn profile of the venture read. “…dedicated to spreading awareness about childhood cancer and raising funds for childhood cancer research.” 

She graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018 with a Communication major and a Business minor degree. However, Meredith still is part of this good cause venture. Her profile says she works at the organization in many ways. Coordinating and hosting all aspects of fundraising events, developing relationships with local and corporate sponsors, implementing strategic projects, etc., were some of her job roles.

Notably, Meredith’s job profile also says she is an ambassador for a company named Juice Plus as well. 

How did Scottie Scheffler meet his other half? 

As mentioned before, Meredith is Scottie’s high school sweetheart. Golf Monthly’s article named ‘Who Is Scottie Scheffler’s Wife?’ states that the couple met each other while attending Highland High School in Texas. After dating and falling in love with each other, the duo faced difficulties following their decision to attend different Universities. 

Nevertheless, Scudder and Scheffler kept their relationship intact, despite having a long-distance relationship. The couple, after 6 years of their relationship, got married in 2020.
