Cameron Smith is a lucky man on and off the field! The six-time PGA Tour winner has his all-time supporter and lifetime partner in the same person. Amazing right? Well, it is! Shanel Naoum, Smith’s wife, has been with him ever since the golfer secured his first major in the 2022 Open Championship.

The couple was pictured only months later at the 2023 Players Championship at Sawgrass, and it’s safe to say that it was a lucky one for Smith, as his then-girlfriend Naoum was there to witness him take home the trophy.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Naoum is a successful chiropractic physician with a passion for helping others. She graduated from the University of North Florida and later earned her doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Palmer College of Chiropractic. That’s not even the start! Naoum works at Southeast Orthopedic Specialists, where she specializes in manual manipulations, auto injuries, and extremity and spinal disorders. Beauty with brains, indeed!

Yes, we’re not done yet! She’s bilingual in both Arabic and English, which gives her the power to communicate efficiently with her patients from diverse backgrounds. The pair got married in December 2023, and despite her husband’s high profile, Naoum prefers to keep away from the public eye. While many golfer’s wives have an open public profile on Instagram, Naoum keeps it private.
She only has a LinkedIn profile focused on her professional life. And her husband is also quite like her when it comes to sharing pictures on social media. The pair quite defies the saying, “Love is in the air.” However, like any other couple, there are a few things that Smith does and Naoum doesn’t like.

What habit of Cameron Smith bugs his wife?
Apart from his wife, Smith has another lucky charm in his life. Any guesses? No? Well, it is his hairstyle. The golfer refers to his mullet as his lucky coin on the field, and despite his wife not liking it, he is not ready to let it go! According to Golf Digest, before the 2023 Zurich Classic, Cameron Smith made a promise to his girlfriend to cut off his long hair the next time he won a PGA Tour.

After his 2023 Zurich win, Smith said, “I would have to apologize to my girlfriend; it’s not going away.” The golfer hilariously continued, saying it means so much to him, and he thinks it’s a part of who he is! “I mean, it’s… I feel like it’s part of me now.”
Smith is currently playing at the JCB Golf and Country Club to secure his first win of the 2024 season at LIV Golf UK. Presently, he is covering the number one spot, but do you think he’ll be able to win the tournament? Let us know in the comment section below!
