First, a special invitation to the majors twice, and then the chance to fulfill his patriotic dream in the Olympics at Le Golf National—Joaquin Niemann is living his dream as a professional golfer. And throughout it all, right beside him, the LIV star has had his biggest supporter-his wife-Christina Hellema Puga.

Interestingly, the wife of the Chilean pro is an architect and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Universidad del Desarrollo in Concepción, Chile. She’s also very social media friendly, just like Niemann, who frequently posts on Instagram and Twitter. Christina has two public Instagram accounts. The first one “@titihellema” is an influencer account that has more than 17k followers and focuses more on her daily life, family, and friends.

Her second account, “@christinahellema_arq” showcases all her architectural achievements and works proving that she is as devoted to her craft as she is to her family. Surprisingly her earning isn’t only limited to her job as an architect. She also has multiple income streams and brand endorsements, and thanks to that her net worth is over $100,000. Although the couple tied the knot together back in September 2023, there aren’t any reports of them having children together. 

Their relationship, however, dates back to March 2017. As of 2024, they are celebrating their 7th year together.  Aside from working as an architect, Christina is also fond of traveling, photography, and art. Her husband accompanies her while they travel together in the different corners of the world. She also takes care of her health by spending time in the gym to stay fit. Joaquin Niemann enjoyed a successful career in amateur golf and was ranked as world No. 1 from May 2017 to April 2018. Before making it to LIV Golf, Niemann had 7 Chilean Tour wins and 2 PGA Tour victories, and throughout that time Christina was there to support him. She was also there with him during the time of 2021 Masters and the Presidents Cup. During the 2023 Masters Christina played the par-3 contest as well. She enjoyed her time at the contest and excitedly shared a post on Instagram captioned “Nice experience on par 3… with Joaquin Niemann.”

Christina’s support for her husband remained the same even after he joined LIV Golf and she accompanied the golfer at the majority of the LIV Golf events and celebrated with him and his team. Overall, Christina Hellema Puga seems like the perfect partner for Joaquin Niemann, balancing her focus on family, career, and lifestyle.
