The duo was destined to meet as they both joined Northwestern University in Illinois, but despite different subjects, they found a connection that kept them together. Donald, who joined the university in 1997 on a golf scholarship, caught attention with his performance while studying art, whereas his wife studied psychology.

Since the duo met, the journey for Luke Donald has been memorable. In 1999, the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship broke the record of Tiger Woods with his 284 score. The couple started dating in 2001 officially, as per the Instagram post, and since then, Donald has been among the best names in the golf world. He became the world number one in 2011. Surprisingly, Donald is among the two Englishmen who never won a major but reached the top of the OWGR.

Well, with Donald’s success in golf, Antonopoulos also began her professional life. With her skills, she has been actively managing the events that surround the Ryder Cup for Team Europe. For example, recently she planned a dinner for the Europe team, which she even posted on her social media. She wrote, “As lady captain of the host team, I was in charge of planning the joint team dinner. I really wanted the players that were spending the whole week going back and forth from the hotel to the golf course to feel like they had an unforgettable night out in Rome.”

Other than this, she has been seen actively featuring the formal events off-course, indicating her expertise with managerial aspects for the golfer. Well, not just this, but she has effectively balanced her life with passion, family, and professional life.

Luke Donald, after dating Antonopoulos for five years, got engaged in June 2006. Soon after, on June 24, 2007, the pair exchanged vows in Santorini, Greece, which is the hometown of Diane Antonopoulos. With all the professional incline, the couple also have the support of three daughters. Their firstborn, Elle, came into the world in February 2010, while they embraced parenthood two more times, in 2011 and 2014, with the birth of Sophia and Georgina, respectively.

Now, the family of five is seen spending time traveling to different places, enjoying family time with native events and more.
