Nicklaus is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. He is also the first to surpass the $3 million PGA Tour earnings at his time. Jack was included in the PGA Golf Professional Hall of Fame in 2006. He was awarded by the country with the Presidential Medal of Freedom (2005), Congressional Gold Medal (2015), and the Lincoln Medal (2018).
Nicklaus – the successful businessman
Nicklaus Design is a golf course designing company that Nicklaus, and his sons created. It is the largest golf designing company in the world, having designed around 300 golf courses worldwide to date.
Apart from being a successful entrepreneur, Jack is also a philanthropist. Jack and his wife Barbara co-founded the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation in 2004. The foundation has raised over $100 million to date.
Nicklaus is also a renowned golf book writer. “Golf My Way,” published in 1974, the book was also adapted into an instructional video.
