Jon Rahm asks for suggestions to name his team

After breaking the golf world and donning the headlines of news, Jon Rahm has settled into the PIF-backed league and is getting ready to introduce his new team. Following his defection, Rahm appeared on the newly launched podcast of LIV Golf, Fairway to Heaven.

The 2023 Masters champion was asked about his team name and replied, “I’m a little bit more stumped. cause I haven’t been able to talk to people.” He added, “I never realized how much the team logo and team name, how difficult of a decision that was going to be,” as everything is new to the golfer.

However, the World No.3 has requested the golf community to help him in naming the team with a bit of particularity. Rahm intimated the “social media” that he is “open to suggestions” as a post for the same has been shared by LIV Golf on X. However, the Spaniard wanted the viewers to “think out of the box” and not suggest only a Spanish name, as he is “not the only Spanish player over there in LIV Golf.”

Rahm will be heading his new team, though the new players for it are soon to be announced. It has been reported that the players joining Rahm’s team are going to be from the PGA Tour as well, to be specific, Tony Finau and Tyrell Hatton. Although there has been no confirmation from the soon-to-be captain or the player’s side. Whoever joins the team, may be under the name as suggested by fans below.

Fans attempt the perfect name for Rahm’s team

After Rahm requested the name, the fans had a spree of suggesting various unique and relatable names for the Spanish golfers. The first one is “Diablo” as Rahm comes from the land of Spain and is in contact with Callaway. This fan found it more suitable.

Another chimes in and suggests the same and one more if Rahm doesn’t like the first one.

Taking the creative path, this fan replaced the Ramen noodles with “Rahmen” instead and wanted the team to be called that.

Another did the same. However, the name would be “rampage” as they would create havoc in the LIV once formed.

As money was the major factor behind Rahm’s defection to LIV, this fan recommended it to be the name.

Another proposed the favorite Spanish term of most, “Vamos” as the team name.

Lastly, this fan had the idea of calling it “The Pride” as it would bring to the Spanish country and the league itself.
