Recently, Scottie Scheffler became the fastest PGA Tour pro to break into the $50 million career-earning list and became the 15th golfer. However, it seems that another golf pro may soon join Scheffler. Xander Schauffele has been on the rise in the PGA Tour’s 2024 season as of late.

After making some incredible finishes, the 7-time PGA Tour winner may become the 16th golfer to earn $50 million. Not long ago he just broke the fourth wall to be the 31st golfer, who has earned $40 million on the PGA Tour. Now it appears that breaking the fifty million threshold is only a few events away.

The world number four joined the PGA Tour in 2017 and quickly rose to become the face of the Tour. That year, Xander Schauffele earned the Rookie of the Year Award as he won two events: the Greenbrier Classic and the 2017 TOUR Championship. In 2017, Schauffele earned $4,312,674 after making the cut in 20 events.

The next season, 2017-18, though the 30-year-old didn’t win any events, Schauffele had 12 top finishes and bagged $4,047,538, the highest earned after finishing T2 at THE PLAYERS Championship ($821,333.33). In the following season, Schauffele added two more PGA Tour victories to his name after lifting the trophy at the WGC-HSBC Champions and the Sentry TOC.

However, the 2019–2020 season was rather lackluster, for the San Diego native couldn’t win on the Tour. So, his earnings for those two seasons came to $9,423,092. In 2021, the 7-time PGA Tour winner once again couldn’t take any silverware home that season but he still managed to earn $5,240,653 after finishing in the top 25 in 16 out of 20 events he played.

The year 2022 was a breakthrough for Schauffele as he broke his winless drought and triumphed in three events, starting with the Zurich Classic and then winning the Genesis Scottish Open a week after becoming victor at the Travelers Championship. In that season, Schauffele took home $7,427,299 in on-course earnings. Though he has yet to win since the Scottish Open, so far in the 2022-23 to 2024 season, Schauffele has made $12,824,549. So after playing 169 events and winning seven, Xander Schauffele’s PGA Tour career earnings tallies up to $43,275,806.

However, these account for only official PGA Tour events, excluding the yearly bonus Schauffele has received some times. If those are added to Schauffele’s earnings throughout the eight years on the PGA Tour, they pass the $70 million mark.
