When and Where is the Presidents Cup Taking place in 2022?

The Presidents Cup is arguably one of the most enthralling golfing events to take place. It takes place between team USA and an International team.

Presidents Cup 2022

The 2022 Presidents cup will be taking place from 19th September 2022 to 25th September 2022. The venue for the 2022 Presidents cup is Charlotte’s Quail Hollow Club, the annual venue for the Wells Fargo Championship. As a result, it is a familiar territory of the Presidents Cup team USA.

The Presidents cup team 2022 captain will be Davis Love III. Earlier, Davis was also the vice-captain for the 2021 Ryder Cup, which took place in Wisconsin. Coming off a historic win, he is thrilled to lead the Americans into the Presidents Cup. The U.S team will comprise 12 players; six captain’s picks and six players will be chosen from the U.S points list.

However, the team is not yet finalized, but some of the favorites are Patrick Cantlay, Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, and a handful of other players. All in all, it’s going to be super exciting.

International team

After suffering a defeat in 2019, the international team will be hungry for a win. The 2022 International team captain is Trevor Immelman. He won the 2008 Masters tournament by beating Tiger Woods. Immelmann was the vice-captain of the international team in 2019, and Ernie Els was the captain.

Trevor has learned a lot from Ernie Els about how to keep the team together and remove the cultural barrier. However, the team is not finalized yet, some of the players that are knocking on the door are Abraham Ancer, Lucas Hebert, Garrick Higgo, and a few of the other tour professionals. As a result, it will be an exciting affair to see the two teams battle it out for the 2022 title.
