John Daly makes an inappropriate move after a disheartening performance

When it comes to playing raw golf, the first name that comes to mind is John Daly. And playing raw has nothing to do with his remarkable skills on any given golf course. However, everyone has their bad days, and so does Daly. He was once so disappointed with his shots that he decided to make a shocking move in the middle of the game.

No matter where Daly plays, he loves to hit it hard. And something similar happened back in 2015 during the PGA Championship when he kept hitting shots recklessly. To his surprise, while he was playing the par-3 seventh hole, Daly shot a ball straight into Lake Michigan. The golfer was given a drop, but it looked like Daly was having a bad day. He hit another one into the water. After dropping another one, his third shot also found its destination at the bottom of the lake.

In reaction to the unfortunate triple-mess, Day bailed and threw his iron into the same lake where the balls went. The golfer was furious at his performance and tossed his club into the water in rage. However, it was recovered by a young man on a boat, who held it up like a trophy.

How did Daly explain his furious act?

The golf legend was soon interviewed after his round of 9-over 81. The golfer was at 10 over for the whole event, which is a pretty bad score for his reputation. Explaining what happened on the field, Daly said“I know we all go through this; I seem to go through it more than anybody.”

Talking about how he tossed the club into the water, Daly referred to it as nothing more than a “reflex”. However, his analogies to explain what reflexes are were quite concerning. “It’s like…slamming down when the kids aren’t listening,” he said. But Daly’s fans can understand his reaction knowing that it was not the first time one of his clubs had gone up in the air intentionally.
