Thompson is one of the biggest names in the ever-evolving space of women’s golf. She is often in news for both professional and personal reasons. She once talked about which actress she thinks can play her part best in case there is a movie made on Thompson’s life.

Her answer to the question was interesting as well as intriguing. She was filled with excitement and contemplation the moment she answered this introspective question.

She said, “I would say probably, Cameron Diaz or Katherine Heigl. I like them. They both have a good sense of humor. I’m laid-back it seems like.”

Cameron Diaz and Katherine Heigl are supremely talented and very famous American actresses. They have both won several accolades for their distinguishable work in their respectable fields, just like Thompson.

Lexi reasoned out her choice by saying that she resonates with their sense of humor and persona.

In 2017’s ANA Inspiration, Thompson faced a major setback when she was the center of a controversy. The consequences of this rule-break controversy also cost Lexi a lot. She paid the debt of this incident with both a setback in her career and her mental health. She suffered recurrent nightmares for an extended period of time post this.

She said, “That night was extremely rough. I was screaming, and crying. I had nightmares about it. Still occasionally do. But the fans were behind me the weeks after, and the months after. I stayed off social media after that. I just hung out with my family, and just kind of stayed to myself.”

This incident was followed by a major change of rules in golf. This was an attempt in order to prevent such a situation from happening again.

Lexi acknowledged the help and support provided by her fans and thanked them for constantly being there.
