World-famous golfer, Tiger Woods, is known for his dedication and his techniques of golf. Playing with him is an honor, but did you know there was a golfer who did not care about Woods and ghosted him.

Not many golfers can strictly imagine ghosting a legend like Tiger Woods, but this golfer did not care a bit, and till today the former No.1 has not heard from him since.

Did he ignore the golf legend, Tiger Woods?

A video from The Open tournament of 2019 has surfaced on the internet where Woods was confessing to being ghosted by one of the golfers. The official Twitter account of The Open tweeted the video, and the 40-second video said a lot. Woods was attending the press conference at Royal Portrush when he shared the unknown story.

Woods once texted LIV Golf player, Brooks Koepka, to congratulate him for his win and excellent finish. Koepka’s performance touched the top bar on the chart, and he was terrific in the major championships, before The Open tournament. This prompted Woods to go on and appreciate him by sending in a little congratulations for a great game over text.

But Koepka did not reciprocate the feeling of joy, as Woods asked him if it was okay for him not to tag along for the practice rounds and play with him. Woods never received a reply. Although Woods brushed it off as a funny story, Brooks Koepka became the first golfer who officially ghosted the G.O.A.T.!

Are Woods and Koepka on bad terms with each other due to the incident?

The incident in question happened long before LIV Golf entered the picture. Today Koepka and Woods are on different tours, which have developed a rivalry over time due to LIV constantly poaching PGA players with lucrative deals. Koepka plays for LIV Golf now, and Woods still strongly opposes it. 

Although they are not enemies, they chase each other on the golf course to claim victory, like in 2021, when Koepka said that Woods had set the bar too high, he believed that he would surpass him in the Majors. He could not see any reason for that not happening, as he was confident in his skills.
