The similarities between Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant

Both the legends turned pro in 1996 and began to rule their respective sport soon after. Kobe and Tiger created similar records as Kobe became the youngest at the time to start an NBA game, whereas the latter is the youngest-ever to win the Masters. The NBA star was 18 years and 72 days old when he made the record. Meanwhile, Tiger was 21 years, 3 months, and 14 days old.

“We are both similar,” said Tiger. “He came in the league, and I turned pro around the same time, and we had our 20-year run together.”

Kobe led the Los Angeles Lakers to win three consecutive NBA titles from 2000 to 2002. Woods, too, had won the four major championships in a row, making him the only golfer to do so. He won the Tiger Slam during 2000-2001.

As sportspersons who had an impressive run at their respective sport, Kobe and Tiger shared a lot of similarities with each other. Although the NBA star is no longer with us, his legacy is enough to remember him forever.
