Tiger Woods fans were deeply worried about several crucial matters. Their concerns extended beyond Woods winning the tournament; it was more encompassing his health and whether he would manage to complete all four rounds. Yet as the tournament wrapped up, Woods persisted in playing despite contending with health issues, and pain.

The 2024 PGA Championship that is to be held at Valhalla Golf Course is causing a stir after Woods’s recent remarks at the Masters hinted at his participation. Yet, beyond the common query of “Will Tiger Woods play?” lies a more profound question: “Can Tiger Woods play?” The GOAT himself has already addressed this question.

After carding his worst finish in the Masters with a 16 over par, Tiger Woods surprisingly called it a “good week.” After finishing his 100th round at the Masters, he’s already shifting his focus to the PGA Championship, stating that he needs to “keep lifting, keep the motor going, keep the body moving, keep getting stronger, and keep progressing” to prepare for the next major.

Not only that but following his highly anticipated comeback at the Hero World Challenge in 2023, the five-time Masters Champion disclosed his intention to focus on just one tournament every month in 2024. Discussing his choice, the pro highlighted, “It gives me a couple of weeks to recover and a week to tune up. Maybe I can get into the rhythm,” said Woods in an interview with the Golf Channel.

Following his participation in the Masters and his commitment to playing just one tournament per month, Woods remains unsure about his involvement in the team event. Steve Stricker extended an invitation to team up for the tournament, expressing his admiration as a “huge Tiger fan” to Golf Digest. He further emphasized, “I want to see him playing as much as he can.”

While the 5x Masters winner is yet to respond to the idea of teaming up with Stricker, fans still harbor hopes of seeing Woods in action. However, the key concern lingers: Will Tiger Woods choose to play in New Orleans, with the next major of the season on the horizon? The answer remains elusive, awaiting Woods’ decision!
