Tiger Woods finally made his comeback to professional golf at the 2022 Masters. The 15-time major championship winner teed it up at Augusta from April 7th and played good golf at the event. Moreover, with the Masters concluded on Sunday, the question remains: when will the former World Number One play again in 2022?

When can fans see Tiger Woods again?

Tiger played his first official event since the 2020 Masters on Thursday at Augusta. The World Golf Hall of Fame member made probably one of the greatest comebacks in the sport’s history and played good golf throughout the event. Not to forget that he suffered from a severe car accident, due to which he injured his right leg. As a result, he was out of the sport for nearly nine months.

However, he showed no signs of rustiness and made a relatively strong finish to his 2022 Masters campaign. He even walked on the tough Augusta National for four consecutive days without hurdles. Thus, showing that he can put his physical fitness out to the test and succeed if needed. But with the major championship over on Sunday, golf fans eagerly wait to hear when Tiger is going to play again.

Moreover, the 82-time PGA Tour winner spoke about when he will play again after his round on Sunday with Sky Sports. Golf fans will be happy to hear his words about his next stop.

He said, “I won’t be playing a full schedule ever again. It’ll be just the big events. I don’t know if I’ll be able to play (the PGA Championship) at Southern Hills or not, but I am looking forward to St. Andrews. That is something that is near and dear to my heart. You know, I’ve won two Opens there, it’s the home of golf, it’s my favorite golf course in the world.”

He added, “I will be there for that one. Anything in between that, I don’t know. I will try, there’s no doubt.” Woods has won the Open Championship at the home of golf twice. Once in 2000, where he completed his major grand slam, and the second time in 2005. He also won at Southern Hills in the 2007 PGA Championship.

Woods’ win at St. Andrews in 2005

Tiger won the 2005 Open Championship at the home of golf. Moreover, he emphatically won the event with an overall score of 14-under-par. As a result, he won by a comfortable five-shot advantage. Woods carded a final round of two-under-par on Sunday at St. Andrews. His final round of 70 included two birdies on the front nine. As a result, he moved in two-under-par, 33. He made two more birdies and one bogey on the back nine on route to registering a famous victory at the home of golf.
