His broken marriage with ex-wife Elin Nordegren became international news as soon as fans got to know about it. And despite both of them having talked about it several times, numerous speculations were made about the two. Moreover, some fans also believe that there was a strong chance of Woods and Nordegren getting back together. But the golfer’s ex-wife once cleared the air amidst countless rumors about getting back with Woods.

Like any woman would be, Nordegren was shocked after finding out about the supposed secretive life of Tiger Woods. The Swedish model explained how hurt she felt when she figured out what went on behind her back.

“I felt stupid as more things were revealed,” she said. “How could I not have known anything? The word ‘betrayal’ isn’t strong enough.” Contrary to what Tiger Woods and his friends admitted later, Nordegren thought she was deceived by more than just one person. “I felt betrayed by many people around me,” she said.

In an interview with People Magazine, Nordegren expressed how she tried really hard to somehow save her marriage. “Initially, I thought we had a chance, and we tried really hard,” she stated. Even though she wanted her kids to grow up around both their parents, Nordegren had to make a tough choice.

Nordegren and Woods were very happy together during their time with each other. And that led fans to believe that the two might still have a chance of reuniting. However, with her crucial statements in the interview, Nordegren cleared out any chances of such an event.

She said, “I am now going to do my very best to show them that alone and happy is better than being in a relationship where there is no trust,”. The two have now moved on in their respective lives. Their children also get to spend time with each of them, every now and then.

Charlie Woods, who is on his way to be a professional golfer soon, spends hours practising with his father on the field. His daughter Sam also loves spending time with her father. Despite their divorce, Nordegren believes that the golfer is a great father to both her children.
