The LPGA Tour is underway in Korea, and the next stop for golf enthusiasts will be the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown 2025. The tournament will commence on October 23 and will end on October 26. There will be eight teams with four players on each team, trying to emerge as the best from the lot. Incidentally, these teams were selected on the basis of the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings on August 4. But where will it be held?

But before we go there, here’s how things will be. For the first seven teams, top four ranked golfers from each country featured in the event. However, for the eighth team, i.e the No. 7 World Team, things are a bit different. The team is made up of four players from countries that didn’t have enough athletes eligible to field a full team. Top golfers from the Americas, Europe/Middle East, Asia, and Africa/Oceania, will battle it out in the middle.

Thus, as the golfers line up at the New Korea Country Club in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea, here are a few titbits about the venue.

New Korea Country Club Venue Details

New Korea Country Club is said to be one of the most popular locations for golf in the world. As per the official website, the golf course is listed as one of its kind in the world with an excellent feng shui location. The course boasts a rich history, coupled with more than 50 years of tradition that has been serving the top golfers on a membership-based model. The scenic beauty of the area allows the members to feel relaxed as they have the luxury to gaze at the serene mountainous horizon of Bukhansan.

The location boasts of a course that has a lot of greenery. Its outer banks are lined with diverse and lush green trees and forests, giving the course a unique appearance. Speaking about the additional facilities that the location provides, it has a dedicated clubhouse with all the modern luxurious amenities.

The total area is spread across 860,216㎡ and the total course area is 375,027㎡. It also features a state-of-the-art restaurant, where the participants can enjoy a wide range of authentic, mouth-watering delicacies. More amenities include the barbecue area, bar, halfway house numbers 6 and 15, the 2F Baegundae room, a pro shop, and a training ground.

New Korea Country Club Venue Significance And Other Details

Coming to the nitty gritties of the area, the New Korea Country Club course has a rating of 71.90, which is pretty decent according to the market standards. It has 18 holes, with a total area of 6912 yards, and 72 yards. The entire course has been carefully designed by three designers- Ji Yeongbong from Korea, Paul Colby from America, and Matsuyama Cage from Japan.

One of the biggest draws of the venue is that it provides a unique experience to the golfer for each hole. This in turn, allows the golfer to indulge fully into the sport while enjoying the actual essence of golf. 

As far as the records made in the course are concerned, Kim Kisu holds the amateur record, which was established way back on September 21, 1979. And for the pro record, Gedrge Kelly from the US has the crown, which was achieved on April 12, 1975. Thus, with the LPGA Tour continuing in Korea, fans will now be eager to see if anybody can break the records and emerge as the new superstar at the New Korea Country Club.
