Phil Mickelson is a big fan of the San Diego Chargers
Mickelson was born in San Diego in 1970 and grew up in the city; hence, it is not surprising that he has his eyes only for his home team. The San Diego Chargers, however, returned to their homeplace in Los Angeles from the 2017 season. Although disappointed, Mickelson said he ‘totally understands’ and supports their decision.

Meanwhile, Mickelson revealed his love for the team. He said, “Well, first of all, I do love the Chargers. I’ve rooted for them since I was a kid and go to as many games as I can. At their playoff game against Indianapolis in January, I lost my voice cheering for them.”
Interestingly, he also spilled how he would like to be connected to the team. He said, “I would love to be involved in pro football somehow. It’s a great sport to get involved in, but I’ve never had the opportunity. As a long-term goal, yeah, that would be one of them, to have some sort of ownership interest in the Chargers.”
