As the Day 2 game came to a close, Golf TV correspondent Amy Rogers had a conversation with Justin Rose and Charley Hull as the pair were walking on the greens mid-round. Rogers asked the golfers about their game, and Hull took the chance to reply and said that their play on the first day was “good,” and the format was a bit tricky, but the pair felt happy to be on the greens.

Rogers’s next question was directed at Rose, where she mentioned that Covid times were when LPGA events were at a halt, and Rose had organized and hosted games for the girls. The golfer answered that he saw that talent lived on the greens, and it was obvious that players wanted to play, but it just “felt like the opportunity wasn’t there.”

But we were never trying to change the world. All we were trying to do was just kind of little series where they could put scorecards in the hand and get ready for the big events.” The golfer concluded by adding, “Charlie actually was fantastic…it was super nice of her to come and play.”
