Nelly Korda has been in the news for some time now. Korda has enjoyed a great run of form this year. The 24-year-old enjoyed eight top-10 finishes in her last nine starts. This run also includes her close call to winning her second major at the Chevron Championship, where she finished in third place. Unfortunately, the LPGA star could not showcase that great form of hers at the Cognizant Founders Cup and missed the cut.

Days later, she announced that she was taking some time off from the sport to recover from an ailing back injury. Amid her recovery, Nelly Korda was still the highlight of the golf world thanks to her Instagram post being showered with her siblings’ love. Surprisingly, the Korda trio weren’t the only siblings to share an adorable moment online this week. Another golf duo has made the highlights thanks to their recent public display of love—in their own way, of course!

These famous golf siblings are none other than Min Woo Lee and Minjee Lee. On Saturday this week, it was Minjee’s birthday, and wishes, of course, were expected from all over the golf world. Lee, now 27, found herself with thousands of wishes, one of which was from her younger brother, who also took to social media to wish the LPGA star a happy birthday. And his unique words for her quickly made his wish a hot topic of discussion!

The European Tour golfer took to Instagram and posted a story wishing his elder sister a happy 27th birthday. But instead of a simple wish, the 24-year-old hilariously trolled her sister in the birthday message. It read, “Happy birthday to the 2nd best golfer of the family.” Minjee wasn’t one to sit still either, and she soon responded by posting the story on her own Instagram, pulling her younger sibling’s leg. The world No. 5 wrote, “I’m sure you meant best.”

Undoubtedly, this was one of the most special and affectionate moments the siblings had shared. And with the incident occurring just a few hours after the Korda siblings’ endearing moment, it seems like the week has been filled with sibling love. Of course, while the Kordas display it by hyping each other up, the Lees do it with their hilarious leg pulling!

Minjee Lee’s performance at the 2023 Cognizant Founders Cup

The Australian pro golfer has not been able to do well recently on the greens. The world No. 5 did not finish near the top of the leaderboard at the first five LPGA events she played at this year. However, Lee was able to change that at the recently concluded Founders Cup. At the Upper Montclair Country Club, the 27-year-old posted scores of 68, 69, 67, and 71 in the event’s four rounds.

With a total score of 275, the Australian pro tied with the South Korean, Jin Young Ko. This tie gave rise to a playoff round between the two LPGA Tour stars. However, Ko proved triumphant and outclassed Lee to grab her 15th LPGA title. Lee, in turn, settled for the runner-up spot, but she will certainly be looking to turn that around soon enough on the Tour.
