Ever since his health concerns have held Tiger Woods back from being active on the greens, the world has been dying to see their favorite golf star back in action. But till now, he has only made a few appearances, and they were not in any tournaments.
Woods did make an effort at the Masters this year to participate but had to pull out. This week he announced the Hero World Challenge field, and chances are high that he could be making a comeback there.

Woods might not be playing now but this week he announced the names of 19 of the 20 players who will tee it up in Hero World Challenge field, to be played in Albany, Bahamas, on 30th November. Once again, the 15-time major winner is ready to pick up his host duties like every year at the event.
The situation Woods is in is redolent of what Will Zalatoris went through. In 2022, Zalatoris suffered an injury of two herniated disks during the BMW Championship and announced that he would make his comeback at the 2022 Hero World Challenge. But when the time came, Will felt that he wasn’t ready and postponed his comeback for the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Unfortunately for Zalatoris, his injury did not heal properly and he had to withdraw from the Masters and underwent a microdiscectomy to get rid of the pain. Woods is in a similar position. After pulling out of Augusta, he went for surgery for subtalar fusion which affected the mobility of his right foot.
After making a hasty decision last time, he is taking no chance with his injury this time. However, it has been a long time since his operation. Even if the fans don’t see him playing, they will see him hosting.
