The musical family of Taylor Pendrith: All you need to know
Taylor Pendrith’s musical family roots run deep, starting with his parents, Darrel and Jill Pendrith. His father, Darrel, is a skilled guitar technician at Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and a talented player in his own right. Growing up surrounded by music, Pendrith’s parents instilled in him a competitive spirit and supported his athletic pursuits.
His musical heritage extends beyond his immediate family. His uncle, Dennis Pendrith, is a renowned bass guitar session player in Canada. Born on September 13, 1949, Dennis is now 74 years old (as of July 28, 2024). With a storied career spanning decades, the golfer’s uncle has worked with iconic Canadian artists like Murray McLauchlan, Bruce Cockburn, and Raffi.
However, the Pendrith family’s musical influence may not have directly led Taylor to golf, but it undoubtedly shaped his discipline, focus, and creative approach to the sport. Moreover, if he had followed in his dad’s footsteps, he might be strumming guitars instead of swinging clubs. So how does Pendrith, a kid with so much musical talent in his veins, end up being one of the best golfers on the scene?
