LIV Golf is planning to host as many as three events in Australia this year in order to become global and expand its reach. The upcoming LIV event, the fourth one of 2023, is scheduled from April 21 to April 23 at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide. Just a few days before the event, CEO Greg Norman, was filmed at the Royal Melbourne’s West Course almost achieving a milestone. 

How did fans react to the video of Greg Norman just missing this feat 

Greg Norman was announced as CEO & Commissioner of LIV Golf back in 2021. The two times major champion has been with the Saudi-backed league at every step.

Golf Digest recently posted a video on Instagram wherein Greg Norman was seen almost acing the fifth hole just a few days ahead of the fourth LIV Golf event of the year. The video was captured by one of the golf journalists at Golf Digest.

The video was captioned, “Ahead of LIV’s event in Australia next week, Greg Norman was filmed nearly acing the fifth hole at Royal Melbourne’s West Course. (📹: @evin_priest_golf)”

 The post received a lot of comments from fans. Some liked it and some did not. 

One fan sarcastically commented, “Former pro golfer hits it to 4 feet on par three. Hell of a story.” 

Many fans took a dig at Norman and his unfortunate 1996 Masters defeat. Another commented, “Closer than he was to winning at Augusta”

“He nearly won the masters to”

“As close as a green jacket!”

“I’m guessing he chocked the putt just like the Masters meltdown! 🤡”

“Almost happened a lot in his career”

“He is the king of “very nearly” 

Other sarcastic comments read as, “So close Greg. Story of your life.”, and “Yeah so what, he almost won the Masters too!”

One fan said, “Thats nice.” 

One fan called Norman a “LEGEND!!! 👏🔥” and the other one called him a “Stud! 🔥”

Another fan called him a magnificent sob, “Greg you magnificent sob” 

One more golf fan called commented, “NEAT!”

Some fans did not like it and did not even consider this as a news to report.

“How is this news?”

One more fan questioned the news and commented, “Why? Just why?”

Another fan commented about Norman, “No one cares about Greg Norman except Greg Norman.”
