Beatrice Wallin was born on April 5, 1999, to Veronika and Christer Wallin. Interestingly, she is a golfer. She began playing golf at the age of six and lists Annika Sorenstam as her favorite golfer. However, before golf could take her heart, it was swimming–a sport her father was a champion at. Christer Wallin represented Sweden in the Summer Olympics in 1988, 1992, and 1996, winning silver medals in Barcelona (1992) and Atlanta (1996). As a youngster, Wallin graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities on April 29, 2022. However, she achieved a lot during her college days.
Wallin accepted a golf scholarship to Florida State University, where she played for the Florida State Seminoles women’s golf team from 2018 to 2022. In 2019, she competed in the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur, finishing in 7th place. She took 10th in the 2021 event, three strokes behind Japan’s Tsubasa Kajitani, and tied for 4th in 2022, two strokes behind the winner, Anna Davis. During her collegiate career, she achieved significant success, winning two tournaments in 2021 and earning the title of Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Golfer of the Year.
In 2022, Wallin made history as the first player in FSU women’s golf to win an NCAA regional outright, finishing the three-round event at 6-under par and defeating Florida Atlantic’s Letizia Bagnoli by a single stroke. Additionally, she became only the second four-time All-American in the program’s history, earning All-American Mention honors in 2019 and 2020, followed by All-American First-Team honors in 2021 and 2022. However, beyond her college success, her next break came in the 2022 season when the Swedish golfer joined the EPSON Tour.
Her journey to the EPSON Tour proved challenging. Wallin tied for 60th in the eight-round 2021 LPGA Tour Q-Series, falling five shots short of securing a full LPGA card but earning Epson Tour status. She chose to turn professional after graduating at the end of the spring semester in 2022. Following that, in 2023, she played in 19 events, made eight cuts, and earned $31,111, recording two top-10 finishes, including a season-best T6 at the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship. In 2024, she participated in 17 events, made 11 cuts, and earned $23,621, achieving one top-10 finish at the Hartford HealthCare Women’s Championship, where she placed T8. Her lowest round that year was 66.
However, Beatrice Wallin was doing more than securing her professional career at Florida State University–she found her boyfriend, John Pak, on the university grounds.
John Pak and Beatrice Wallin are a pretty couple, even on social media
John Pak, currently playing at the Charles Schwab Challenge, is in a relationship with Beatrice Wallin, whom he met while attending Florida State University. The couple started dating in 2021, and Pak proposed to Wallin in December 2024. They live together in Florida, having purchased their first home together in June 2024. While both share a love for golf, their social media posts frequently reflect their mutual support and admiration for one another.
In fact, the happy couple first announced their move in their Florida home in June 2024, where the couple shared an Instagram post with the caption: “Busy week moving into our new home 🏠 super happy to start this new chapter with @johnnydpak98 🫶🏼.” Of course, they shared a few pictures as well–and John Pak was helping them move.

Beatrice Wallin is just as active on her social media and didn’t take a moment to share the happy news–the engagement!–with her fans. Updating her Instagram profile, Wallin posted, “12-21-2024 💍 I said yes!!” While we already have the engagement news, we will likely hear about their marriage soon! However, the sweetness of their love is also evident in the presence of a puppy. In fact, Wallin has an Instagram highlight of their puppy!
