Fitzpatrick, since turning professional, has bagged 10 victories in his career. Most notable of which was his 2022 US Open. But surprisingly, after his major victory, the golfer only won one event in 2023, after which his performance saw a decline. Now, with the 2025 schedule and declining performance, Fitzpatrick has finally found his way back to the top spot. All thanks to the new partnership with Daniel Clive Parratt.

Who Is Dan Parratt, the Man Behind Matt Fitzpatrick’s Success?

Parratt has been a professional caddie for more than 17 years as part of the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour. He, with his career, has partnered with many professional golfers and has accompanied them to notable victories. He has partnered with Alex Noren, Robert Karlsson, An Byeong-hun, and many others. In his portfolio, his first win came with Calum Hill in 2021 at the DP World Tour, Cazoo Classic. The duo, with just their third appearance together, bagged a historic win, which kick-started the journey of becoming a renowned caddie.

In 2021 and 2022, Parratt got the attention because of his partnership with K.H. Lee, where the duo added back-to-back victories at the AT&T Byron Nelson. After that, he joined hands with Tom Kim, with his extensive experience in the field. The partnership stood for almost a year in 2024. Until now, the caddie has achieved 3 Tour victories, 2 Seve Trophies, 2 Eurasia Cups, and a Presidents Cup win.

How Did Matt Fitzpatrick and Dan Parratt Start Working Together?

2025 has been filled with changes, especially caddies and golfers separating. To join the list, Matt Fitzpatrick and Billy Foster, who were together for 6 years, have now parted ways. Back in 2023, Foster hinted at his plans, saying, “I’m 59 next week, so I am going to do a job share and have taken a tough decision.” But he also added a name with whom he will share the responsibility: “With 26 or 27 events every year, transatlantic, it is catching up with me, so I will share with Dan Parratt, who has caddied for about 15 years.”

This plan came to action in early 2025, with Parratt taking over the position of caddie for Fitzpatrick full-time time and they are looking strong to come back from a major decline in Fitzpatrick’s performance following his lone post-major victory in 2023.

How has Dan Parrat helped Matt Fitzpatrick’s game?

The new partnership has certainly been working out; Fitzpatrick has made his way to the top of the leaderboards after what looked like a rough 2024 season. The duo’s first major breakthrough came with a victory at the 2025 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. They continued to finish in the top 20 in most of the PGA tour tournaments with occasionally missing a few cuts, but they are still working on finding their groove together. Parrat’s extensive game knowledge has also been coming in handy for Matt as his approach to the field has been more consistent and beautiful to watch compared to his last few rough seasons.

How Much Does Dan Parratt Earn as Matt Fitzpatrick’s Caddie?

There is no publicly available information on the exact terms of the agreement between Dan and Matt. We can assume that Dan has earned around $70,000 as of September 2025 based on a standard caddie contract, where a caddie gets 5% for a made cut, 7% for a top-10 finish, and 10% for a victory. It might be even more due to how well Matt has been performing and has found some new and strong form with Dan beside him.

What Is Dan Parrat’s Life Like Off the Course?

Dan, who celebrates his birthday on September 8, was born in Bristol, England. The caddie has kept his early life private, and there is no information available about his parents and how he transitioned into the caddying profession. But through his social media, the cute family of three can be seen. The caddie is married to Gemma Heaps and has a cute kid.

Apart from that, he is the director of ICADDIE LTD. He has been associated with the company since 2012, which adds to his on-course and off-course experience. Being a caddie on the course and overseeing the business side of the golf venture is proof of his immense interest in the sport. Even his social media is proof of it, too; posts showcase how he praises and encourages fellow golfers with their practice and initiatives.

Now, with the new partnership, Matt Fitzpatrick has found his rhythm back, and the caddie has started a walk towards his first major victory. But despite the performance and their appearance together, there is no certainty about their partnership continuing. Will the duo extend their partnership after a great display of performance?
