From growing up across Lake Geneva in Lausanne to the Florida sun, Morgane Metraux’s golf journey is in her strength as she wrote on her website, “My will to succeed in everything I do and giving my 100%” This unrelenting drive has been a constant companion throughout her life. As Metraux reflected on her journey, she revealed that embracing the life of a professional golfer was a gradual process. She recalls the pivotal moment when she knew she had to leave Switzerland to pursue her dreams. “Back then, I knew that if I wanted to take golf to the next level without jeopardizing academics, I’d have to leave Switzerland. And frankly, I wasn’t ready to do that until I felt like my game was where it needed to be.”

Notably, Metraux’s perseverance paid off when she secured her highly anticipated first LPGA Tour card in 2022. In her rookie season on the LPGA Tour in 2022, Morgane Metraux demonstrated promising potential, competing in 22 events and making 12 cuts. Her impressive performance earned her a total of $211,116 in prize money.
However, this achievement was preceded by a challenging period. In 2019, she faced a grueling shoulder rehab that lasted for an extended period. Despite consulting multiple surgeons and specialty doctors, she remained undiagnosed, forcing her to grind through the difficult process. Consequently, this setback only strengthened her resolve, ultimately leading to her triumphant entry into the LPGA Tour. But she was not alone during the whole process.
