

Caught up in the ongoing European conflict, the PGA of Ukraine is seeking help from all golfers around the world. Jeff and Anna Vinall recently used the official website of Kyiv Golf Academy to reach out to the golf community.
“My wife Anna and I are the only members of the PGA of Ukraine who are currently outside the country,” wrote Jeff on the website. He also added pictures from before February 24th and after it. Jeff further said, “We were prepared, and we were able to escape to Poland.”

Notably, the couple is trying to raise money and even listed down the works for which the money will be used:
- Assist civilians to escape to safer locations
- Deliver needed medicine to hospitals
- Assist the families of the civil defense corps
- Assist those stranded at the Polish border.
“I am confident that the community of golf professionals will step up to help us,” the couple ended the note. “We will be eternally grateful.”
The PGA Tour expresses support for the golfers of Ukraine
PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan announced the organization’s support for the golfers of Ukraine. As part of it, the golfers, caddies, and staff would pin the blue-and-yellow ribbons on their caps and hats at the PLAYERS Championship happening this week. The Tour Commissioner also encouraged the golfers to make donations to provide to those in need.

According to the Tour website, GolfersForUkraine.com has collected more than $225,000 until the 8th of March. However, the donations have more than doubled since and reached 557,639 as of today.

Even some of the top golfers provided their take on the matter at the press meet before the PLAYERS Championship. The World No. 1, Jon Rahm, said, “It’s a lot of innocent people that shouldn’t be going through this.” Meanwhile, the Irish golfer, Rory McIlroy, said, “From a human side of things, it’s just horrible what is going on.”

The UNICEF is currently raising money to help the people in need by providing medical supplies, water, and other things to the country. And PGA, too, is doing everything they can to support the cause.
