Rain, rain, go away! That’s probably how Jay Monahan is feeling right now. After multiple PGA Tour events’ round cancellations, delays, and tournaments being cut short, the weather curse has been real! The 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM was cut short to 54 holes, and the Augusta showdown’s first round had to be postponed too. This has been a casual occurrence this season. Now, has the weather brought its curse to the ongoing 2024 John Deere Classic too? Well, it could.
With clouds roaring over the venue, the weather forecast suggests there is a good chance of rain drenching the course with the pros!

Inclement weather could be on its way at the 2024 John Deere Classic
While weather is not something that Monahan can control, fans can be quite furious when it causes delays. Saturday’s round is not under threat yet. The weather forecast on AccuWeather indicates that there’s a 28% chance of rain. While the temperature can be as high as 82.4F and as low as 62.5F, one can expect pleasant weather throughout round 3.
However, the high UV index can make it hard for players to face sun exposure. With wind blowing at a speed of 9 km/h, there will be a moderate humidity of 62%. The low speed of wind will not hinder the trajectory of the golf ball. The fans and pros can take a breath of peace, as the cloud coverage is only 6%, which is quite low compared to that of round 1. But it can get high, up to 25% by the afternoon.
Evening’s weather is what every fan is fearing; why’s that? The temperature can drop to 64.4F and cause humidity as high as 72 percent, with clouds covering the sky up to 53 %. However, the pace of the winds will stay the same, not leading to any additional worry.

The overall weather for round 3 is going to be somewhat bearable for the golfers, and no cancellations or delays are expected as of now. But is it going to stay the same for the final round also?
