Angel Yin is tired for a totally different reason

This is the time for Angel Yin who is just fresh off her victory from last week at the Buick LPGA Shanghai where she registered her her first win on the Tour after a long wait. The 25-year-old who turned professional in 2017 has been trying her best since then to achieve a win. This year she almost gained it at the Chevron Championship but lost in a playoff against Lilia Vu.

But last week at the Shanghai event, Yin finally made her first victory on the LPGA. And this week she returns for the BMW Championship in Korea. During the presser, she divulged about the adrenaline rush moment. She was asked if she thinks she is tired from the adrenaline and the energy from the win.

To this Yin replied in the negative but shed light on something else in the process, “I think it’s coming from the one hour and 30 minute bus rides we have back and forth from the hotel. I mean, I understand it’s really difficult, so we have to make the most out of it. I mean, we’re in a very like rural area, like in the mountains playing golf, so it’s really tough to find anything that’s like as nice as we are staying because we’re staying at a really nice hotel.”

It has been a hectic schedule for the 25-year-old who had to do interviews and press conferences for her win and also rush back for the tournament.

Angel Yin’s big victory at the Buick LPGA Shanghai

Yin got her first victory dramatically by beating the world No. 1 Lilia Vu at the Qizhong Garden Golf Club, Shanghai, and won the first prize of $315,000 out of the purse of $2,100,000. Vu seemed to be winning after her final round of 68 that featured six birdies but Yin took over when she birdied the par-5 17th hole. There was a challenging par-4 18th hole where Yin made the winning birdie which Vu missed and took the trophy home.
