The ongoing Scottish Open is witnessing some terrific performances by pro players who are fighting it hard on the greens despite harsh weather and constant rain.

However, there are some new faces at the tournament as well who are also giving good performances and making a name for themselves in the world of golf. One such young golfer is Tom Kim, who after the third round is currently in the second position. But during his performance, Kim did something unusual which is tickling the funny bones of fans.

Tom Kim’s unusual reaction leaves fans laughing

A new face has entered the golf world in the form of Korean Golfer, Tom Kim. The 21 year old turned professional in May 2018, playing on the Philippine Golf Tour. He is currently playing on the PGA Tour, Asian Tour, and Korean Tour as well. In his amateur career he has won the Philippine Junior Amateur in 2017 and Philippine Amateur Open Championship in 2018. He has also made some notable wins on the PGA Tour as well by winning twice at Wyndham Championship and Shriners Children’s Open in 2022.

Last year at the Genesis Scottish Open, Kim began his ascent to stardom. He finished third in the event and got high coverage. And now after a year, things have changed completely for the young golfer. This year the Scottish Open is turning out good for him. He started with a career-best 61 on Thursday and in the third round, he made a birdie on the par-5 10th hole.

He is playing well and in fact, made a fairway shot but despite showing excitement he quickly walked away. The moment was shared by the PGA Tour on their Instagram page.

Even PGA trolled him with their caption. Fans were also quick to share their sarcastic comments on Kim’s reaction.

The golf community reacts to Tom Kim’s bland reaction at Scottish Open

The golf community quickly let it know that they relate to Kim’s reaction and that they can completely relate with him.

About playing at the event, Kim had some nice things to say “I like this place. I obviously had good memories last year. After the season ended last year, I was really looking forward to coming back. This course really suits my eye. The weather needs to cooperate a bit but great feels and great momentum last year, and just trying to keep it up. It’s nice to be able to play well these first two rounds and hopefully just try to keep giving myself chances over the weekend.”
