The 2023 Masters winner kicked off his RBC Heritage campaign with an underwhelming 1-over 72. His first-round performance starkly contrasted his heroics in Augusta, which saw him edge past LIV golfer Brooks Koepka for his first-ever green jacket. The golfer managed to turn it around, finishing at T15 at the end of the final round.

During the RBC Heritage event, World No. 1 admitted feeling physically and mentally exhausted. The golfer revealed that the exhaustion had followed him into the first round. On Sunday, he offered an insight into what the next week looked like for him.

The busy golfer is also planning on spending some time with his family. Ahead of the PGA Tour’s Mexican Open later this month, Rahm is looking forward to staying put at his home for a while. “We’ll see how the week unfolds, but it’s time to be home and it’s time to be dad,” he said. The 2023 edition of the Mexican Open will be held from April 24th to 30th at Vidanta Vallarta, with a stacked field of 144 players.

How did Rahm fare at the 2023 RBC Heritage?

2023 has been an eventful year for the Spaniard so far. In February, the golfer clinched the Genesis Invitational title to power his way to the world no. 1 ranking. He followed the victory with an exciting win at the Augusta National, winning his second major title. The PGA Tour golfer prevented an upset LIV victory, edging past Brooks Koepka to win $3.24 million in earnings.
