Anna Nordqvist displayed amazing striking abilities at the CME Group Tour Championship
Anna Nordqvist showed beautiful striking skills on the field in her rounds. The golfer shot five-under 67 in the final round and secured third place in the event. The golf star mentioned that speed and patience helped her throughout her game. And along with that, her game also majorly depended on her ball-striking abilities.
She explained how hard it was for her to stay in the game after having a hard year. “It’s been a really tough year for me, struggled a lot mentally and physically,” she said. “I just hit so many good shots…worked really hard the last two months when I started feeling a little bit better…I know that I’m doing the right thing.” But one thing that everyone was a little confused about was Nordqvist’s decision to use the Texas wedge around the greens.
Fans react to Anna Nordqvist’s putter decision
The Swedish golfer used her famous Texas Wedge on the 14th hole in the final round, for which many appreciated her. Golf Channel tweeted, “Anna Nordqvist plays the Texas wedge to perfection on 14 to reach 12-under and T-3 position.”
However, when she used the same on the 16th hole, it received mixed reactions for it. One netizen wrote: “You have to be in a dark place with your short game to pull putter here”.
Disagree. Looking at that pin, how much closer can you get with a wedge there than putter? Then how bad is a bad one?

Yea but she’s probably the best Texas wedge player in professional golf.

Then why choose putter?

I wouldn’t agree Will. That looks a good play to me.

And the terrain she was putting over looks as good as most greens you see in Australia. Seems like a pretty smart play to me…

“Disagree” are you serious lol?
Every single pga or lpga player chips this. Maybe for a 20 handicap this is fine but to say this is fine for a pro is ridiculous

Notably, most fans thought her choice was not wrong at the time. Some compared the situation with Cam Smith back in the day during the Open.
????? Cam Smith did this to win the open? He has arguably the best short game in the world?
