Greg Norman and Chris Evert were very good friends before they ended up falling in love and getting married. However, their marriage did not last longer than 15 months. Eventually, the tennis pro and the golf star ended up getting divorced and settling for a split. There was not much that the two said about the reasons behind their divorce. Greg’s sister, Janis Norman, opened up about what actually happened and how things were never right between the two. “She became very dominating and controlling and it became very apparent she was treating my brother badly,” Janis said. “She did not like the fact that Greg had a higher profile”

Janis’ analysis of Evert and how she was not good for Norman didn’t stop there. She continued to give examples of incidents that made it clear that the two were not good for each other. Despite knowing everything that was going on, Janis Norman never wanted things to end like this. However, she thought that Norman’s fans deserved to know and hence spoke about the matter.

Adding details about the matter, Janis talked about how Evert was responsible for impacting a huge decision in Norman’s life. According to her, Evert talked Norman out of buying a property in Queensland, which he was very keen to purchase. “She hated it here, especially in Queensland,” Janis said. “She did everything to discourage him buying anything and one of her boys hated being here so much he went home early…It was not a happy family holiday.”
