There is barely any couple that is more popular in the golf world than Brooks Koepka and his wife, Jena Sims. Mrs. Koepka has always been by her husband’s side during golf events. While Sims may be a supportive wife, the golfer was once questioned about his affection for his wife as many thought he wrongly spelled his spouse’s name.

Brooks began dating American actress, Jena Sims back in 2017. The couple tied the knot on Turks and Caicos Island last year. Having known each other for five years, spelling your wife’s name wrong can be a major issue. Koepka made the error in one of his posts, or at least that’s what the fans thought.

Jena Sims clarifies on behalf of her hubby Brooks Koepka

Ahead of the 2023 Masters, Koepka seems to be relaxed while enjoying his outing at an NHL game. He also happened to spend more time dancing for his wife. However, in her latest Instagram story, Jena Sims reminisces about the time when fans criticized Brooks for misspelling her name.

While wishing his spouse a ‘Happy birthday’ back in 2021, Brooks Koepka referred to her as ‘Jean’ instead of her legal name ‘Jena’. Many thought it was a blunder on the golfer’s behalf. However, two years later, Sims defended her hubby in her latest story. “This one time most of y’all thought my own husband spelled my name wrong”, she wrote.

Mrs. Koepka also adds how ‘Jean’ is her nickname which is usually used by her close friends. “More of an alter ego than a nickname”, she added. While Koepka may have revealed Sims’ nickname to the public, initially, it was heavily questioned. Fortunately for him, Jena cleared the air with an explanation.

Nonetheless, like any other husband, the 4-time Major winner also calls his wife by a nickname that shouldn’t be a surprise to many. And Jena Sims being a good wife also defended her hubby against trolls. Regardless of what the fans think of them, the Koepka family does remain the most active and humorous couple on and off the field.
