We have heard her talk about cyberbullying experiences from the past before. But her recent monologue at a podcast has put things into perspective quite clearly. Her bold fashion choices have their roots in her childhood, but the decision to question the norms in public was not a voluntary decision, apparently.
Paige Spiranac offers a clear narrative of her fashion rebellion

Spiranac confessed that when she started off, she wanted to be taken seriously as a professional golfer. However, she received hate no matter what she did. She explained with regret that irrespective of what she posted, she received hate comments.
She recounted an instance where she decided to respect the ‘feedback.’ “And there was one time where I wore a full turtleneck. leggings, I was completely covered head to toe, and people were upset with my outfit.” Spiranac admitted that it was when she decided to ignore comments and wear what she wanted to wear.

The 30-year-old revealed that she has always dressed a certain way. She attributed it to her gymnastics background. “literally almost nothing, you know, when you’re wearing a leotard, and that’s pretty much it.” She reiterated that she had always worn very comfortable and form-fitting clothes.
It appears that she no longer cares about hate comments. “I can’t control what other people say or the judgment that they have, because they just see such a small little portion of your life.” Spiranac confidently stated her present mindset toward cyber-bullying.
The golf girl has not always been this confident, though. She has had vulnerable moments in public too.
Paige Spiranac sheds tears uncontrollably
In an interview from 2016, Paige Spiranac had a major emotional breakdown in the middle of the press conference. She was explaining the online abuse she was going through, and it was perhaps a fresh wound in her mind.
Spiranac claimed that the comments she received were extremely cruel. She spoke about how they attacked not only her but her parents as well. She said they called her “a disgrace to golf.” Spiranac also mentioned how it affected her self-esteem and made her feel worthless. The golf beauty apparently was told that she was not a good golfer and not even a good person.

After losing control of her emotions and shedding tears, she took a moment to collect herself. Although it was a painful experience to go through, she hoped that sharing her story would help someone out there who is facing bullies and save them.
