John Daly is one of the most well-known and loved players on the PGA Tour. The golf legend has made millions of fans for his unique looks and colorful pants on the course. However, that doesn’t change the fact that Daly is an absolutely wonderful golfer.

But despite all his talent, the golf star hasn’t been able to play in his best form in any of his recent tournaments. Notably, Daly has not been great in terms of his physical health. In fact, as per sources, the golf legend has canceled an upcoming appearance due to a concerning health update.

Daly’s manager provides massive health update about the golfer

Daly, 57, has made a special place for himself in the books of golf’s history. The PGA Tour pro is currently one of the oldest, yet most active stars among all. Although he has not been in his best health, Daly has been consistently practicing the game for an upcoming tournament at Torrance House Golf Club in East Kilbride. As per reports, the player was supposed to make a guest appearance at the tournament.

But a recent update revealed that the golfer will not be able to attend the tournament in Scotland. Although he was adamant to be part of the event, the two-time major winner had to cancel his plans due to his scheduled knee surgery in the upcoming weeks. According to Glasgow World, event organizer Artistes International Management (AIM) shared an email that read the following:

“John Daly’s manager informed us over the weekend that John will be going into hospital at the end of May or early June for surgery on his knee, therefore due to the recovery period we are unable to go ahead as planned with our event in East Kilbride on Friday 28th July.” The email also said that all the tickets that have been sold beforehand will be duly refunded to all the fans.

All of this is happening when the golf ace is already suffering from his infamous bladder cancer. It has been a few years since the player was diagnosed with the health disaster. And despite all the treatment he has been getting for it, there are huge chances of his cancer returning again and again. But now, the knee surgery has simply added to his time in the hospital bed!

When did John Daly have his last knee surgery?

It hasn’t been a long time since the golf legend had a full knee-replacement surgery. Fans are aware of how Long John deferred his knee procedure back in December 2022, just to play at the PNC Championship along with his son. Later, the player ended up having a successful surgery at Arkansas Surgical Hospital in the same month.

The golf ace even shared a picture of himself on Instagram after the procedure and said that he was “up and running”. Well, that is the spirit that fans love the most about Daly. However, the fact that he has to undergo another surgery in a few weeks is pretty concerning to his admirers!
