Tiger Woods makes comeback admission for the PNC Championship
Since opting against participating in the U.S. Open this year, Woods’ comeback has been an ever-lasting mystery for golf fans. However, the 15-time Major Championship winner was believed to make his much-awaited return in December before the Majors next year.
Furthermore, Woods had stated his intention of returning to the field after announcing his involvement at the Hero World Challenge in the first week of December. But the PNC announcement comes as a pleasant surprise, considering he’ll now be teeing up in as many as three tournaments in a month.

A return to the PNC for young Charlie and Tiger
The pair first turned up to the competition two years ago, finishing in seventh place. The last edition was better, with the battle heading on the final day between Tiger Woods and John Daly and their sons. It was Daly and co who triumphed eventually, but it remains to be seen whether the Woods faction could cross the last hurdle for their maiden victory.
I'm thrilled to close out a great December by returning to compete in the @PNCchampionship with my son Charlie. Getting to play as a Dad makes the week that much more special.

But by all accounts, all parties involved were happy with Woods’ return. NBC Sports’ Jon Miller, whose company is partnered with the PNC Championship, was delighted by the golf legend’s participation. “We are counting down the days to present the PNC Championship across our platforms in just a few short weeks, and having Tiger and Charlie return for a third time as part of this year’s field of major champions competing alongside their loved ones, only adds to the special nature of this celebrated event,” he said.
Catch Woods and his son in action at the PNC Championship, scheduled for the third weekend next month.
