Rules ensure fairness in the game. But, when golf enthusiasts saw the recent video of Scheffler moving some loose items on the field, they couldn’t help but question the player’s actions.

A Twitter handle posted the clip captioned, “Would you like a pitchfork Scottie? I’m sure you can dig a bit deeper 🤦‍♂️.” The video in the tweet received a lot of criticism, and most of the fans appeared to not believe that only loose sediments were moved. One of them right away exclaimed, “You can’t do that 😳😳,” and others were quick to chime in:

Most of the viewers exclaimed that the movement was a breach of the rules, and did not seem legal. It was even more ironic for them because they mentioned that the rules official was right next to the golfer!

Fans compared Scheffler to Patrick Reed

Amid the mass of comments responding to Scheffler’s video, some fans couldn’t help but drag Patrick Reed’s name into it. Surprisingly, this time the fans did not have anything harsh to say to the LIV golfer. Rather, they mentioned how if it had been Reed involved in the act, the golf world would have been ‘blowing up‘:

Clearly, fans did not like how the deed to clear the loose items on the ground was accomplished. Most of them found the act to be along the lines of cheating and called him out for the same.
