Tiger Woods opens up about his unheard guilt

Woods is a 15-time major champion in the golf world. But success was not easy to gather for the multiple-time PGA Tour winner. It has required some extraordinary efforts to become the most power-packed performer on the field for him. But as the famous saying goes, “With great power, comes great responsibility”, it was the same for Woods.

Woods might have reached millions of hearts among his fans, but his own heart had a pang of hidden guilt. It was about not being able to spend enough time with his family.

During the 2007 US PGA Tour, Woods opened up about how important it was for him to spend time with his family. “We don’t have nannies and we don’t have any other help. When I’m at home, I can help but when I’m not there, Elin’s being a complete stud about it and doing it all on her own.” Woods said.

Although with the amount of money Woods has, he could have filled his house with as many helpers as he wanted. But the golfer didn’t want his child raised by a stranger.

“You feel guilty for not being there, for not helping out. But we want to do it ourselves. We don’t want anyone helping raise our child because it’s our child.” 

Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren was the only one taking care of the kids while Woods was out for championships.

Woods compared his parenting goals with his parents

During the conversation, Woods opened up about how he wants to treat his children the way his parents treated him. He mentioned that both his parents were “extremely understanding” and said his mom was “more feisty” than his dad.
